For some time now i have been following and ‘assisting’ with the new Xbox Metro dashboard update which is due out Dec 6th and along with it a wave of new features are also due which have only until now been kept rather hush hush by Microsoft.
It was announced last month that Microsoft would be rolling out its new Dash update to bring not only Voice Kinect to Australia, but also a group of video streaming services to help bring the Xbox out as a true media contender against the PS3.

The list may be long, but I have bolded all the relevant Aussie content which is due out in the next couple of months. Although this update will include lots of content it does allow for a lot of room for expansion with future ‘Video Apps’. As far as 360 updates have gone, this has been by far one major step in the right direction for Xbox to compete against the Playstation which has been offering such items as iView since its early days. I know from personal use the PS3 was always getting use for its ABC iView functions.
